GENI Design Documents (GDD)

GENI Design Documents (GDD) describe various aspects of the GENI facility, including requirements, specifications, and reference implementations. They also contribute to the scientific case being made for the facility. This is a community forum, and so GDDs do not state an official GENI position or policy unless explicitly noted. All the GDDs are prepared by individual working groups and they do not represent consensus of the planning group. Over the next few months, a new Project Execution Plan (PEP) will be prepared and posted here, and these design documents will help shape the new PEP. Please send contributions to the editor, CK Ong.

Disclaimer: The proposed facility described in various pages of this web site represents a synthesis of NSF workshops and Town Hall meetings that have taken place over the past year. The project development plan requires that GENI be defined with a certain level of specificity, but everyone understands that the underlying technology changes rapidly, and that the requirements the community places on GENI continue to mature. Therefore, these pages should be viewed as a snapshot of GENI as of January 2006. Additional snapshots will be posted as they come into focus.
