Tim Upthegrove is a Systems Engineer for the GENI Project Office (GPO) who supports integration and operations in the GENI Backbone.
He works on design and connectivity of GENI’s nation-wide OpenFlow network, which spans across many research and education networks, including campus networks, regional networks, and NRENs.
He is interested in software defined networks and virtualization, and how those two things integrate with classification and prioritization mechanisms in the network.
Prior to joining GENI Project Office(GPO) in 2011, Tim worked in the RNOC Lab at Georgia Tech.
Tim has a BS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a minor in Mandarin Chinese.
